Your family will worship you for this recipe

I have a big confession to make… I give my son chocolate pudding for breakfast.

Yes, that’s right. I the health food advocate. I can hear some of you say ” Haha. I knew it!”

But I have to stop you right there. You should know me better by now.

The pudding I make is super healthy and you can let your folks indulge in it absolutely guilt free. I tell you if you put this dessert before your family in the morning they will hold a parade for you for being the coolest Mum and wife ever. And they don’t even need to know that it is healthy. They won’t know, because it is so, so good and has a creamy, silky texture. Even the pickiest eater should be intrigued by it.

So, ready to win the award for  Super Mum of the year? Here is the recipe.




makes one big serving

What you need:

1 banana

half of an avocado

1 Tbsp chia seeds, soaked in water for 10 minutes

1-2 Tsp (raw) carob powder (you get it in health or whole food stores)

1 Tsp healthy sweetener of choice, I used maple syrup

2 Tsp of water or almond milk

1 Tsp (raw) lucuma powder, optional

1 pinch of Vanilla powder, optional

What you do:

Throw everything together and blend up with an immersion blender. Tadaaaaa!

Why it’s good for you:

This divine pudding is packed with good fats (brain food) from the avocado and the chia seeds. The carob contains vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Lucuma is a great calcium source and the maple syrup contains 54 different antioxidants, as studies have shown. Of course it is still a sweetener and raises the blood sugar. So if you want to skip it this is fine, too. I also serve it without sweetener from time to time and my son loves it just as much.
