For the topic “books” I have photographed the three reads that I have on my nightstand at the moment.


Vegan For Fit – Attila Hildmann
I already wrote that we gave this book as a gift to our friends in Switzerland. We cooked some of the recipes and I liked it so much that I got myself a copy, too. Although I am already eating vegan most of the time I want to make the 30 day vegan challenge in the book, for it has no refined sugar and white flour in it, two things I had way too much lately. I will keep you updated how the challenge works.

Jonas Jonasson – The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared
I don’t read a lot of fiction at the moment and when I do it’s mostly crime, but this book from Swedish author Jonas Jonasson was a birthday gift and I thought I give it a try. And I have to say I am enjoying it big time. Jonasson has a wonderful humor and it is nice to have a good laugh from a book for a change.

B.K.S. Iyengar – Light On Yoga
If you are into yoga the name Iyengar will probably be familiar to you. Iyengar is one of the most popular yoga teachers in the world and the founder of Iyengar Yoga. Time magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world.
I recently read a super interesting article in a German magazine about the scientific evidence of the power of yoga and the author also travelled to Pune to Iyengar’s Yoga centre. The yogi is alread 95 (!) years old, still teaching and practicing and this book was already published in 1966. It is a great overview of the different asanas (practices) and their effect on the body. I love yoga and want to get myself inspired to practice more with the help of this read.
